FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a packaging device for packaging elongated packages with the longitudinal side next to each other in a box, for example packages with cookies therein.
State of the art
In packaging devices for, for example, packaging elongated packages in a box, many operations are still carried out manually because their mechanization is often too expensive.
Summary of the invention
An object of the invention is to provide a packaging device in which fewer manual operations have to be performed for packaging elongated packages than with the known devices. For this purpose, a packaging device according to the invention is characterized in that it:
first transport means comprises via which the packs are conveyed in the longitudinal direction one behind the other, as well as a trap which is arranged next to the first transport means, for placing the packs side-by-side with each other, a guide which extends obliquely above the first transport means and next to the trap is present and with an end in the direction of transport front is present at the edge of the first transport means remote from the trap tube and with an end in transport direction rear end is present at the edge of the first transport means facing the trap tube, and second transport means which are under the trap are present and move the packs in a direction transverse to the transport direction of the first transport means, for further processing of the packs.

An embodiment of the packaging device according to the invention is characterized in that the packaging device further comprises third transport means, to which the first transport means are connected, as well as a control unit which is coupled to the first and third transport means for setting the individual transport speeds of the individual transport speeds independently of each other. means of transport. The elongated packages are supplied via the third transport means and are further transported by the first transport means to the trap tube. By optimizing the speeds of the first and third transport means, the packs can be supplied to the trap in such a way that they fall down correctly and land on the second transport means in the desired position.
The packaging device preferably has a sensor for detecting the presence of a pack on the second transport means at the bottom of the trap tube. This sensor and the second transport means are also coupled to the control unit. The control unit controls the transport speed of the second transport means on the basis of signals from the sensor, such that the packs come close to or against each other.
The trap is provided with a rear wall which is parallel to the first transport means as well as two side walls which are perpendicular to the rear wall and are present between the rear wall and the first transport means. In order to make the packaging device also suitable for packages with other dimensions, the distance from the rear wall to the first conveying means is preferably adjustable. Furthermore, for this purpose it is also preferable to adjust the distance from the rear side wall in the conveying direction to the front side wall.
A further embodiment of the packaging device according to the invention is characterized in that fourth transport means are present between the first and third transport means. By optimizing not only the speeds of the first and third transport means, but also those of the fourth transport means present between them, an even better supply of the packs to the trap tube can be realized.
One or more of the conveyor means may be formed by a conveyor belt with drive means for driving the conveyor belt or by rollers with drive means for rotating the rollers.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment of a packaging device according to the invention shown in the drawings. Hereby shows:

Detailed description of the drawings
Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of the packaging device according to the invention in top view and side view, respectively. The packaging device 1 has first conveying means 3, via which the packages are supplied in lengthwise direction. In addition to the first conveying means 3, a fall tube 7 is provided, for causing the second conveying means 5 to fall below the longitudinal side side by side onto the second conveying means 5 so that subsequently several packages can easily be picked up simultaneously. These second transport means 5 move the packs in a direction 15 transversely of the transport direction 11 of the first transport means for further processing.
To bring the packages into the trap tube, a guide 9 is present next to the trap tube and diagonally above the first transport means. This conductor is provided with an end 9a which is forward in conveying direction 11 on the edge 6a of the first conveying means remote from the trap tube and is present with an end 9b which is in the conveying direction rearward on the edge 6b of the first conveying means which is facing towards the trap tube.
The first transport means 3 are connected to third transport means 13 which supply the packs from a packaging device in which cookies are packaged in the packs. The packaging device has a control unit 17 which is coupled to the first, second and third transport means for independently adjusting the individual transport speeds of the transport means.
For detecting the presence of a pack 2 on the second transport means 5, a sensor 19 is present at the bottom of the trap tube 7. This sensor is also coupled to the control unit 17. The control unit controls the transport speed of the second transport means on the basis of signals from the sensor, such that the packs 2 come close to or against each other.
The trap tube 7 is provided with a rear wall 7a which is parallel to the first transport means 3, as well as two side walls 7b, 7c which are perpendicular to the rear wall and are present between the rear wall 7a and the first transport means 3. The distance from the rear wall to the first conveying means, as well as the distance from the rear side wall 7b in the conveying direction to the front side wall 7a are adjustable to optimally adapt the fall tube to the dimensions of the packages to be processed.
In order to be able to further optimize the supply process to the trap, fourth transport means 21 are present between the first and third transport means 3 and 13, the speed of which can be adjusted independently of that of the first and third transport means. The optimum speeds of the individual transport means are preferably determined experimentally.
In this embodiment, the transport means 3, 5 and 13 are formed by conveyor belts 3a, 5a and 13a and drive means 3b, 5b and 13b connected thereto for driving the conveyor belts. The fourth transport means 21 in this embodiment are formed by rollers 21a and drive means 21b for rotating the rollers.
Although in the foregoing the invention has been elucidated with reference to the drawings, it should be noted that the invention is by no means limited to the embodiment shown in the drawings. The invention also extends to all embodiments deviating from the embodiment shown in the drawings within the scope defined by the claims.
